Trading with other tribes:
The Inca’s did not live alone on the area where mostly onl Inca’s lived, other small tribes lived there too. They used a system called Terrasing, they made flat surfaces where they planted and grew crops. They traded away parts of what would grow there for exchange of something entirely different, so the Inca’s would grow something for another tribe in land which was their own. This made it easier to trade food before they needed it which could come in handy.
How did the Inca civilization come to an end?
The Spanish conquistadores brought smallpox and other European diseases
with them when they came to the South-American countries, these diseases
killed most of the Inca’s since they had not been made immune by the
diseases over hundred’s of years like the Europeans. Therefore, the Incas
were weakened, making it easier to the Spanish to over win them.
Leader of Inca’s
The leaders of the Incas were called Sapa Inca, he was the only
person allowed to marry his own sister. He could sentence anyone he wanted to death and say it was an offering to the gods.
The emperors in the order of which they are known:
You can notice the different names of the leaders, some of them are called the same as the different areas and tribes (where they came from (most likely)).
There are also some of them who have the word "Inca" in their names which they also may have had from who they are and who they are leaders of.
Machu Picchu (the lost Inca City):
This is a quite new discovery (1911) of one of the Inca Towns that were around for a very long time. It consists of around 200 buildings and was rested on the mountain Machu Picchu which lies at around 2200 meters over the sea. the structure of the city is build up in a way which puts the people high in the society (like the leaders and such) on top of the mountain, this way making them closer to the sun.
The town is thought of to be one of the world wonders.
